"A few weeks after I placed the order the plane arrived in a purpose made wooden box for carriage which is a nice touch. Once opened I found a stunning plane, beautiful in every aspect, the dovetails in the metal were perfect and dovetailed both ways. I believe Darryl's planes are the best new planes available for the price, in fact I really don't know how he manages to make such a beautiful plane for the money. The Jointing plane I purchased is some £3000 cheaper than an equivalent Holtey plane, and although not quite up to the Holtey standard, is the closest I have seen. I would highly recommend one of Darryl's planes to any woodworker and there is no excuse now about the cost as these planes are well within the reach of virtually anyone."
